MEET the Diarrablu Squad: Our SIZE INCLUSIVE Digital ModelS
A Magical Journey of Design and Discovery
Growing up in Senegal, I saw inclusive fashion as the norm and not the exception. Women go their local tailor down the street to get all their clothes made to order based on their measurements, and there was never a size they could not produce. When I started this company, it was natural for me to approach design in this way because that's all I ever have been exposed to. I believe that fashion should be for everyone so I strive to create clothing that not only looks beautiful, but also feels comfortable and celebrates diversity. In our quest to thoughtfully merge tradition and technology, we created the Diarrablu Squad, a group of digital model avatars we have been working on for months in order to easily showcase our clothing on diverse bodies and ethnicities.
The Diarrablu Squad is a result of our commitment to inclusivity and sustainability. We wanted to find a way to show our clothing on a variety of body types and skin tones without relying solely on human models. By creating digital avatars, we are able to generate designs in real-time and see how they look on different body shapes and sizes. This allows us to be more efficient in the design process and reduce waste by generating quick digital renders of design prototypes to crowdsource production.

Hey everyone, I'm Mamy! A dancer hailing from Dakar, Senegal. Fashion has been my passion since I was a little girl and I love expressing myself through bold styles. When I'm not hitting the dance floor, you can find me surfing at Ngor beach, getting lost in a fiction book, or jamming out to Afrobeat music. Today, I run a dance school in Dakar and love helping people find joy through movement. Let's dance and surf our way through life together!

Hola amigos! I'm Lara, born and raised in beautiful Mallorca, Spain. I'm a lover of the great outdoors and staying active, from hiking to teaching yoga. I'm also a painter, and you can find my work featured in several local galleries. I moved to San Francisco for college, where I studied environmental conservation and sustainability, causes very close to my heart. Today, I’ve started my own non-profit organization to help young adults repurpose their clothing to reduce waste. Let's connect and share our love for conscious living!

Hey there, I'm Safi! I am half Jamaican and half French and was born in Kingston but raised in London. Music and dance have always been my passions, and my way to stay connected to my rich and diverse cultural heritage. I'm a passionate dancer with a wide range of training from ballet, salsa and dancehall and love to strum my guitar in my free time. Exploring new cuisines and finding the best Caribbean food is always on my agenda. Come join me on my culinary journey and let's travel the world together in style!

Our digital models are not meant to replace human models in any way. We still do photoshoots around the world as part of our brand's wanderlust ethos. However, the Diarrablu Squad provides an additional avenue to showcase our clothing on a diverse range of bodies, which is important to us as a brand.
One of the best things about the Diarrablu Squad is its ability to use generative designs to show our entire collection on different people that our audience could relate with. We know that seeing clothing on a variety of bodies is important to our customers, and the Diarrablu Squad allows us to provide that representation in a fast and efficient manner. It also helps us show quick inclusive styling options on different bodies and ethnicities, making it easier for our customers to visualize how they can style our pieces for themselves.
It's important to note that while the Diarrablu Squad is a good start, it is by no means an exhaustive representation of the wide range of physiques and ethnicities that exist in the world. We value feedback from our muses on Instagram, and we will continue to work towards improving our inclusivity and representation as we grow as a brand.
