Founded by Diarra Bousso, a San-Francisco based Senegalese artist, and primarily produced in Senegal and India, the size-inclusive collection features strong, structural cuts and bold custom prints.

Diarra Bousso grew up in Senegal, immersed in a family of artisans mastering ceramics, leather, and metalwork. This rich heritage became the heart of Diarrablu, a brand inspired by her familyβs legacy. Each piece seamlessly blends tradition, artistry, and sustainability, forging a timeless connection between the past and the future.
OUR PROCESS
STEP 1: we crowdsource everything
Our design process starts with the community. We invite feedback and votes to determine which designs resonate most with our customers. By listening to the people who wear our clothes, we create collections that are not only beautiful but also deeply personal and relevant to those who matter mostβour audience.
Step 2: we paint with equations
Innovation is at the heart of our process. Using math and algorithms, we generate over 100 designs daily, streamlining creativity at an unprecedented pace. This approach allows us to create diverse prints, showcase them across various body types and ethnicities, and make data-driven decisionsβall at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional methods.
Step 3: we handmake everything
Our production model is built for efficiency and sustainability. By only producing garments on-demand with our artisans, we minimize overproduction and ensure that every piece has a purpose. This approach enables us to respond quickly to trends and customer needs, delivering high-quality products faster than ever before.
The artisans in Senegal have been trained to produce at international standards while fusing their traditional know-how passed down across generations.
Step 4: we reduce waste by over 60%
Textile waste is one of the fashion industryβs biggest challenges, but weβre tackling it head-on. By combining crowdsourced design with on-demand production, weβve managed to cut waste by more than 60%. This means fewer resources wasted and a smaller environmental footprint, all while maintaining the quality and artistry our customers expect.
The DIARRABLU label is rooted in one word: ITERATE. From an algorithmic standpoint, we follow an iterative production function (metaphorically) that keeps running until all fabric resources are used.
