OUARZA
a desert dreamscape

For Summer 2026, DIARRABLU journeys into OUARZA, a cinematic world inspired by Ouarzazate, Morocco’s legendary desert gateway where terracotta architecture, endless skies, and ancient silence converge. Imagined through the lens of founder Diarra Bousso, the collection draws from the landscapes, colors, and architectural influences of North and West Africa, blending them into a modern visual story centered on movement, craftsmanship, and emotion.
EXPLORE THE COLLECTION
For founder and creative director Diarra Bousso, the journey to OUARZA began long before the collection entered the studio. Walking through Ouarzazate’s ancient villages and sun-warmed courtyards, she was captivated by the quiet beauty embedded in everyday details: the sculptural shadows cast across terracotta walls, the repeating geometry carved into doorways, and the striking contrast between vast open landscapes and intimate architectural spaces. These moments became the emotional foundation of the collection, inspiring a visual language rooted in stillness, memory, and discovery.

Rooted in DIARRABLU’s signature dialogue between mathematics, craftsmanship, and storytelling, OUARZA transforms desert geometry into fluid modern dressing. Sculptural silhouettes balance structure and ease through asymmetric draping, flowing kaftans, elongated dresses, and clean architectural lines. The palette moves through dusty rose, saffron terracotta, apricot, olive, and deep ocean blues, inspired by desert landscapes, clay architecture, and coastal horizons.
At the center of the collection are prints shaped by the architecture, landscapes, and traditional artistry of North Africa. Soft florals appear alongside geometric motifs influenced by Berber symmetry, referring to the balanced and repeating patterns traditionally found in Amazigh textiles, architecture, and decorative arts. Indigo tie-dyes reference expansive desert skies, while vibrant orange patterns capture the warmth and intensity of sunset and sand tones.

Back in the studio, sketches, photographs, and travel notes were transformed through DIARRABLU’s signature design process, where art and mathematics intersect. Architectural forms became equations, and memories of desert horizons evolved into patterns, prints, and silhouettes. Early sketches explored the balance between structure and fluidity, translating the rhythm of North African landscapes into garments designed to move with ease. Through this process, OUARZA became more than a collection. It became a way of carrying the essence of a place, reimagined through contemporary design.

“OUARZA reflects the landscapes that have lived in my memory for years: the stillness of the desert, the hidden geometry of North Africa, the colors of clay and sky, and the connection between nostalgia and design. I wanted this collection to feel grounding and expansive at the same time, like carrying pieces of home while dreaming of somewhere new,” says Diarra Bousso, Senegalese-born mathematician, artist, and founder of DIARRABLU.

Known for merging artisan craftsmanship with innovative mathematical design systems, DIARRABLU continues its commitment to intentional production through made-to-order and small-batch manufacturing with artisans in Senegal and India. Each piece in OUARZA reflects the brand’s ongoing vision of creating fashion that is thoughtful, expressive, size inclusive from XS to 3XL, and designed with longevity in mind.

With OUARZA, DIARRABLU presents a collection that balances softness and structure, tradition and innovation, offering a modern interpretation of desert dressing through bold prints, fluid silhouettes, and intentional design.
