Inspired by the moon, its rich geometry, abundance, convertibility and timelessness, LUNA is a collection of versatile pieces created intentionally to be mixed and matched for a rich vacation wardrobe. To celebrate the harmonious dance between moon and sun, we designed a new assortment of jewelry pieces created both organically and algorithmically. 

DESIGNING SHAPES WITH ALGORITHMS

For this new jewelry drop, I used my own background in geometry and mathematics to explore how various polygons and circular shapes can be stacked upon one another to create unique pieces. This is very aligned with the DIARRABLU brand focused on oxymorons such as tradition and technology or artisans and algorithms.
Featuring geometric earrings in up-cycled brass, the collection was designed in-house taking inspiration from different phases of lunar transformations influenced by the sun.

HANDCRAFTED PIECES

All jewelry from Luna Collection was designed with mathematical equations and handcrafted by Senegalese artisans in upcycled brass. 

I feel like as a Senegalese born creative, I have really learned to live at the intersection of culture, mathematics and heritage and realizing they are not mutually exclusive at all is truly empowering.
