Step into the vibrant streets of Dakar's iconic Medina district with DIARRABLU's Summer 2024 capsule collection. Inspired by the iconic neighborhood's kaleidoscope of colors and street art, the MEDINA collection captures the essence of leisurely city walks, colorful architecture, and the thrill of discovering treasures in bustling street markets.

The collection is more than just clothing. The Medina girls, who infuse the neighborhood with vitality and spirit, inspired founder Diarra Bosso to create an art collection, also aptly named MEDINA, as the companion to the summer apparel capsule.

Khale Dakar

Our hero paintings, Khale Dakar, Street Runway, Femme en Gold, and Reine Khoudia were recreated in oil on canvas through the eyes of local Senegalese artist, Aliou Gueye.

By blending Diarra's digital artistry with Aliou's human craftsmanship, we are met with a unique celebration of human connection.

This collection sparks a thought-provoking debate: who is the true artist? Diarra, the chief creative mathematician who imagines intricate stories and captures them through a blend of digital drawings and AI? Or the human painter, Aliou, who brings the concept to life on painted canvas?

Both collections blend art and fashion to celebrate the rich tapestry of Dakar, from radiant rose, to verdant green, and bold cerulean we set out to honor the traditions and history as we unveil this new work.
