July 6th was a day I'll never forget, DIARRABLU finally found a permanent retail space and art gallery in the heart of Dakar! For me, this isn't just a store; it marks a significant milestone and a dream come true—a fusion of fashion, art, and culture that I've always envisioned.
This novel concept, developed in partnership with the luxury perfume store Sens de Marrakech, transforms a private gallery into an immersive art and fashion experience. The space not only showcases our most iconic pieces but also the new art collection of life-size paintings inspired by the vibrant Medina culture of Dakar.

A Celebration of Sustainability and Responsible Production
The launch event was a gathering of the city's influencers, close friends, tastemakers, and art curators who came to celebrate our commitment to creativity and sustainability. The space itself is a testament to local craftsmanship, with every detail created by local artisans.
For the first time, visitors have the opportunity to directly interact with DIARRABLU’s versatile, size-inclusive designs, experiencing the true feel and fit of the garments. We are also introducing a unique made-to-measure initiative where signature fabrics from past collections are repurposed into custom garments for our local customers, reinforcing our ethos of reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices.
Innovative Customer Engagement
The new Dakar location is pioneering a physical crowdsourcing model that complements our digital strategy. This approach allows customers to engage directly with pre-release designs, voting on their favorites, which helps align production closely with customer preferences. This process not only minimizes waste but also enhances their involvement in the creation process and our sustainable journey as a whole.
Expanding Horizons
This venue is just the beginning of DIARRABLU’s global expansion, with plans to introduce similar concepts in other cities, starting with Paris this month. The Dakar location serves as a model for future stores, embodying co-creation, art, sustainability, and a unique blend of algorithm-driven design and direct customer interaction, setting a new standard for the fashion industry.
